Hey! Who put chiles in my cocktail?

My friend Kara Newman over at Spice and Ice just published her first cookbook, appropriately also titled Spice and Ice. I had a chance to meet her in NY recently and sample a few of her ideas. Believe me when I say you really should try adding chiles to your cocktails–and ginger and cinnamon and pepper and all sorts of other spices.
